If you are staying in Alta Cebu you can do get your first scuba diving experience directly at the resort. You can conduct a Try Scuba Diving Experience, a PADI Discover Scuba Program or start even a PADI Open Water Course.
How the Resort Courses Work:
Try Scuba Diving / PADI Discover Scuba Diving
In the first part of the course your PADI scuba instructor will spend some time with you to explain the basic principles of scuba diving and give you an overview of your scuba equipment.
Once you feel comfortable, your PADI instructor will take you into the swimming pool of the resort to help you acquire some basic scuba diving skills.
Then, if you like it, In the second part, we will transfer to the beach for a real discovery dive up to 40 feet/ 12 metres with your PADI instructor
The skills you learn during your Discover Scuba Diving experience may be credited toward the full PADI Open Water Diver certification.
PADI Open Water Course
You might sign up for a full PADI Open Water Course and conduct the theory lessons either online or with your PADI Instructor directly in the resort. Your confined Open Water Training can be deducted also inside the resort. Then, spend 2 days of exiting ocean diving applying the skills you learned on 4 Open Water dives together with your instructor. Here is an overview over the pool training:
Confined Water Dives – Scuba Skills Training
You develop basic scuba skills by scuba diving in a pool or body of water with pool-like conditions. Here you’ll learn everything from setting up your scuba gear to how to easily get water out of your scuba mask without surfacing. You’ll also practice some emergency skills, like sharing air or replacing your scuba mask. Plus, you may play some games, make new friends and have a great time.
There are five confined water dives, with each building upon the previous. Over the course of these five dives, you attain the skills you need to dive in open water.
